사람들이 나를 어떻게 보는지가 중요하다고 생각해요. 그래서 차를 단순한 교통수단이 아니라, 자신을 보여주는 수단으로 생각해요. "좋은 차를 탄다"는 건 "성공했다"는 의미로 보일 수 있어요.

두 번째 이유, 리스나 장기렌트 덕분에 비싼 차도 쉽게 탈 수 있어요.
예전에는 큰돈을 차를 주고 사야 했지만, 이제는 매달 돈만 내면 비싼 차를 탈 수 있어요.
그래서 누구나 마음만 먹으면 비싼 차를 탈 수 있게 되었죠.

세 번째 이유, 서울과 부산처럼 사람들이 많이 모인 도시에서는 비싼 차를 더 쉽게 볼 수 있어요. 우선 다른 지역들 보다 사람이 훨씬 많아요. 그래서 도로에 차가 많다 보니, 고급차가 눈에 더 잘 띄어요.

마지막으로, 어떤 사람들에게는 차가 일하는 공간이에요. 영업직이나 자영업자는 하루 종일 차 안에서 보내는 시간도 많아요. 그래서 더 편하고 넓은 비싼 차를 선택하는 경우도 많아요.

이렇게 여러 가지 이유로, 한국에서는 비싼 차를 자주 볼 수 있어요.

First of all, Korea has a “show-off” culture.
People care a lot about how others see them. That’s why cars aren’t just a means of transportation — they’re also a way to show who you are.
Driving a nice car can be seen as a sign of success.

Second, these days, leasing and long-term rentals have made luxury cars more accessible.
In the past, you had to pay a huge amount upfront to buy one. But now, as long as you can pay monthly, you can drive an expensive car.
So more people can afford to drive one if they really want to.

Third, in big cities like Seoul and Busan, where the population is dense, luxury cars are more visible.
There are simply more cars on the road, so high-end ones naturally stand out more.

Lastly, for some people, their car is basically their office.
Salespeople or small business owners often spend hours each day in their cars, so it makes sense for them to choose something more spacious and comfortable.

For all these reasons, you’ll notice a lot of luxury cars in Korea.
